A considered approach to candidate introductions

HighViz Training is a construction employability provider — not a recruitment agency. We design and deliver commissioned construction employability programmes that prepare participants for entry-level construction roles.

Where participants completing our programmes are ready, located appropriately and meet the requirements of a specific role, we facilitate introductions to recruitment partners and employers. The availability of suitable participants depends on current and upcoming commissioned provision.

We work with recruitment partners to understand the types of roles they place, the qualifications and site requirements that matter and the locations they operate in — so that any introductions we make are relevant and considered.

Recruitment partners do not pay HighViz Training for introductions. This is not a candidate database: introductions depend on funded cohorts, participant readiness, location and employer requirements.

Why work with HighViz Training?

Sourcing reliable entry-level construction workers is one of the most time-consuming parts of any recruiter's workload. Where a construction role requires CSCS, participants considered for introduction will have completed the relevant health and safety qualification and will be progressing through or have completed the appropriate CSCS requirements.

By working with HighViz Training, recruitment partners can access participants who have been through a structured employability programme and have expressed an interest in the opportunity. We do not guarantee candidate availability — introductions depend on current programme cohorts and participant readiness.

Established in Scotland and available for commissioned delivery across Great Britain, HighViz Training works collaboratively with recruitment partners to understand workforce demand and improve programme relevance.

What We Consider Before Making an Introduction

Depending on the role and information available, HighViz Training considers the factors below before making an appropriate consented introduction.

Interest in the role
Readiness and engagement
Right to work
Location and ability to travel
REHIS, CITB and CSCS status
Driving status
Availability and expected readiness date
Shift requirements
Alignment with the employer’s essential criteria

Candidates may be ready for immediate consideration with CSCS completed, progressing through the pathway with an expected readiness date, or suitable for advance consideration subject to completing outstanding requirements. Personal information is shared only through an appropriate consented introduction process.

What recruitment partners can expect

Participants with accredited training

Where a construction role requires CSCS, participants we introduce will have completed the relevant health and safety qualification and will be progressing through or have completed the appropriate CSCS requirements.

Engaged and prepared participants

Participants considered for introduction have actively engaged with a structured employment programme and expressed an interest in the opportunity.

Employer-informed preparation

Where recruitment partners share their requirements with us, we can align programme content and employer engagement activities accordingly — making participants more relevant to the roles you place.

Considered introductions

We do not send speculative CVs. Where we make an introduction, it is because we believe the participant is ready and the role is a genuine fit — based on qualifications, location and requirements.

Social value contribution

Placing HighViz Training participants contributes to social value and community benefit outcomes — supporting the reporting requirements of public sector and housing contracts.

Collaborative relationship

We work with recruitment partners on an ongoing basis — keeping you informed of upcoming cohorts and seeking your input to improve programme relevance and participant readiness.

How the model works

HighViz Training is funded through commissioned provision — local authorities, employability providers, public sector employment programmes and other organisations commission us to deliver construction employability programmes for their participants.

Employer and recruitment partner engagement is part of that commissioned model. We work with employers and recruiters to ensure that programme delivery is aligned with real workforce demand and that participants are prepared for the roles that exist.

Our success is measured by the number of people who progress towards and into sustainable construction employment — not by charging recruitment fees.

How introductions work

01

Tell us about your requirements

Share the types of roles you place, the qualifications and site requirements that matter and the locations you operate in.

02

We assess participant suitability

We review current and upcoming programme participants against your requirements — considering qualifications, location and role suitability.

03

We make considered introductions

Where a participant is ready and a suitable opportunity exists, we facilitate an introduction. We do not send speculative CVs.

04

You decide whether to take it forward

You assess the candidate against your vacancy. We facilitate an appropriate, consented introduction. You and the employer retain complete control over the recruitment decision.

05

Ongoing relationship

We maintain an ongoing relationship with recruitment partners — keeping you informed of upcoming cohorts and seeking your input to improve programme relevance.

Who are our programme participants?

Our participants come from a range of backgrounds — all of whom have made an active choice to pursue a career in construction and have completed or are completing the training needed to get there. Availability depends on current and upcoming commissioned provision.
